The W.C.Y.A.A. is hosting the 2004 Babe Ruth 14-Year Old Baseball World Series August 21-28 in historic Fleming Stadium in Wilson. Ten teams from across our great nation will invade Wilson for a chance to win the World Series Championship.

In each World Series, the host site is required to use the Host Family Program. The Host Families Program requires the players to stay in the homes of families that live in the host community. The Host Families are responsible for transporting the players to and from games and practices, laundry, preparing meals, serving as surrogate parents, and finally, becoming a friend for life.

So many memories have been formed over the past five years with the W.C.Y.A.A. hosting four World Series. Wilson families have traveled all across the United States to visit their “new families” and to meet their parents.

This is also a great opportunity for the church membership to witness to the youth of great nation. These kids are the best of the best in all aspects. They are exceptional baseball players but also excellent students and ambassadors for their hometowns.

These young men are our future!

Please announce our request for host families in your next church service. We need 18 more homes as of today.

If you need further information, please do not hesitate to call me at 252-239-0652 (office) or 230-2467 (cell).

I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Mickey
