1) Worked on W.C.Y.A.A. web page.

2) Visited with Danny Lamm at the Wilson Moose Lodge at 9:30AM. We set up the Pizza Hut Pizza Party for the Host Families

3) Met with WDT to make sure that the Host Family article would run on Wednesday, August 4. Hopefully this will draw some interest to the Host Family and the 2004 WS so more people will sign up to serve as Host Families.

4) Met with Buddy Davis of Southco in Goldsboro at 12:30PM. Buddy is going to bid on the WS concession stand products such as candy bars, hot dogs, chili, etc…

5) Met with the Operations Committee at 5:00PM to workout the Host Family Program for the 2004 WS. We have 30 homes after tonight’s meeting. We will need 15 more homes to complete the task. The committee has about 15 more excellent leads that will let us know for sure by the first of next week. I am still advertising on the radio (WZAX 99.7 and The Dawg 98.5), plus running ½ page ads on Saturday each week, and finally, advertising on the web page.

6) Met with the Administrative Committee at 6:30 to secure all items needed to set up the 2004 WS Headquarters. Many thanks to Faye and Tonya Barnes for their help!

7) Met with Tim Narron to place our order for the WS Tee-Shirts. Three different tee-shirts will be processed. All three will use the same left chest print (one color) that we have used in the previous three WS. The first design will feature a two- color design with stars and baseballs. The second design will feature the name of each team in baseballs on the back and will also use two colors. The third will feature the listing of each team’s roster plus the coaches/manager in two-colors.

8) We are also going to use Tim’s store for the 2004 WS Store to sell our merchandise. We will only use the store for approximately 2 weeks. This will save us lots of monies because Tim is not charging us any rent or utilities.

9) Completed paperwork on today’s activities.

10) Returned over 20 phone calls and over 25 e-mails.
