Latest Babe Ruth League, Inc. Rule Changes for 2007

Cal Ripken Division –
 

  • Leagues may charter teams in the new “Cal Ripken Major 70” Division”. This new division will provide leagues an option that will allow players to take their game to the next level. The pitching mound is placed at 50 feet from home plate with bases at 70 feet. Check out the following link to how to convert your field so your league can play both “Major 60” & “Major 70”.
     

Babe Ruth Softball –
 

  • Leagues may elect to permit “league age” 4 year-olds to play Babe Ruth Softball. League age is determined in the softball division by using the December 31st date. In order to be eligible to play in the softball division you must be at least 4 years of age by December 31, 2006. Click here to see the 2007 Softball Age Chart.
     
  • Babe Ruth Softball official regular season softball are manufactured by Rawlings, Trump, Diamond & Wilson.
     
  • Babe Ruth Softball official TOURNAMENT BALL is Rawlings. All District, State, Regional and World Series play will use Rawlings.
     
  • Consent for treatment will be required at the FIRST LEVEL of Tournament Play.
